Shar is the president of Volf Accountancy International with more than 27 years of professional experience, including public accounting and private industry. She has worked with CPA firms in Southern California, Northern California, and Georgia in addition to Law Firms in the financial district of San Francisco. She has expertise in advising U.S. and foreign multinational individuals and companies on the tax implications of their international operations as well as coordinating U.S. tax laws with foreign tax laws to develop an optimal worldwide tax strategy.

Shar is fluent in the rules and regulations regarding controlled foreign corporations, PFICs, withholding taxes, income tax treaty analysis, check-the-box planning, FIRPTA, and foreign informational reporting forms. Her responsibilities involve both domestic and international individuals and companies, including tax due diligence, tax compliance, tax provision and uncertain tax positions; global tax minimization planning; subpart F analysis and computation; foreign tax credit studies; earnings and profit studies; acquisitions and dispositions of operating units; and other related matters.

Shar Volf is an active Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the

California Society of Certified Public Accountants, and a current student member of the American Bar Association. She is a former Committee member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Shar Volf has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, and a Master of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University, San Francisco, California. She is currently attending Fordham University School of Law in New York City, New York.
